“Our value proposition at Lincoln Financial Services is that we help our clients navigate the opportunities, pitfalls, and challenges of changes in life and life events, up to and through retirement,” Brandon says. “Our primary focus is comprehensive financial planning for pre-retirees. We also do a lot of work for organizations, including the local fire department and their first responders.”
“I chose this profession to continue to grow our family’s legacy, plus I enjoy the challenge that financial planning presents, because no two cases are the same. The ability to help someone realize that they can retire or attain a goal they thought was unattainable is rewarding,” he says. “We are goals-based, and we scale our services up or down based on client need. We like to think that we are good at taking complex topics, situations, products, and solutions and working with them in a way that is easily understandable by the client. We work hard to ‘teach’ our clients so that they can make educated decisions. We don’t tell people what to do; we help them decide. Because of our background and experience, we are able to provide perspective and subject matter expertise that clients may not have considered on their own.”
Brandon enjoys doing the analytical work required as a financial advisor, but more than that, he enjoys helping clients realize that goals are usually attainable with a proper plan in place. “I don’t ever want to have to tell a client that they cannot obtain a goal, or that they can’t retire. Sometimes managing an expectation to something more realistic is necessary, but never a ‘you can’t,’” Brandon says.
Raised in Arvada, Colorado, where he still resides with his family, Brandon attended the University of Phoenix. Married to his wife, Sarah, since 2004, the couple spends most of their free time when they aren’t working raising their four children: Audrey (16), Brianna (10), Henry (8) and Miles (5). The family is active at their church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, and Brandon is also involved in other communities in various ways. “I donate to the MDRT Foundation and their charitable interests each year. When time allows in the future, I will volunteer more time to aviation-based charitable interests as well (EAA, CPA, Pilots N Paws, Angel Flights, Civil Air Patrol, etc.),” he says.
An active instrument-rated private pilot, Brandon enjoys traveling, camping, hunting and hiking, and often takes road trips and RV vacations. He also likes cooking, 3D printing and design, Scotch and bourbon, and fine cigars.
